A bevel is achieved by giving the face surface of the glass a sloping edge. This is achieved by grinding and polishing the edges to various widths and thicknesses.  Bevels act as prisms in the sunlight, creating interesting color diffraction. Beveling has always been considered the most difficult type of processing.

Beveling machines have to be extremely precise to produce the quality of the bevel, the accuracy of the processing, and the dimensional tolerances on the angles. We invested in a beveling machine produced by Bavelloni.
